The Kent Street Centre at White Rock, BC, Canada had recently added Nordic walking in their growing list of activities for their members. Nordic walking is easy to learn and is suitable for people of all ages and fitness levels.
Nordic walking is an enjoyable form of exercise that helps alleviate stress to your hip, knee, and ankle joints. Moreover, it helps improve overall stability, balance, and posture while walking.
Participants will be given poles to be used in the activity. The poles may be purchased once the lessons have been completed. Those who will be able to complete the lessons will receive invitations to join the Nordic Stride Club. The club meets on Monday and Wednesday mornings to explore local walkways.
