Enjoy the Outdoors at Cwmtillery Lakes

Introduction courses of outdoor activities such as kayaking, climbing, mountain biking, army assault course, Nordic walking, and other fun sports will be offered by the CWMTILLERY Lakes Environmental Action Network (CLEAN) on Sunday, June 29.

Interested participants need to register early to get slots in the outdoor activities mentioned. Necessary pieces of equipment will be provided, including mountain bikes and helmets, but feel free to bring your own. The event will be surrounded by the natural lake area and bird display of the Garden Festival Owl Sanctuary. Please bring a change of clothes as the outdoor activities will surely put you in exercise mode.

Cwmtillery Lakes is located northwest of Abertillery, a former feeder pond to Cwmtillery Colliery, transformed after the colliery was closed. The area is open to the public with picnic tables, path circulating the lake, and area for outdoor activities.
