Nordic Walking Exercises - Shoulder Flex
As with all other sports or outdoor activities, it is imperative to stretch those muscles to prepare them for the actual activity. Involve all muscle groups so you can do the activity for a longer time, without feeling tired or uncomfortable. Take note, though, that stretching too much is not good for you. Do the stretching exercises slowly and make sure to stay within your limits.
In this section, learn how to do the Shoulder Flex. This exercise stretches your shoulders which will help prevent any muscle pain after a day of Nordic Walking:
- Stand with your feet shoulder-width apart and with both knees and toes facing forward.
- Hold the pole with straight arms and hands, shoulder-width apart, in front of the pelvis.
- Lift your arms by flexing the shoulders.
- Hold for a moment and return to basic position.
