ever felt pain on your thigh and shin after walking? It's weird, I've
been feeling it for several weeks now, but only on my right leg! What
can be wrong?

did you stretch before walking? not stretching or warming up prior to nordic walking would result to soreness. But if you did stretch then I suspect you may have a wrong choice of shoes.

If you did a warm up then the possible cost must be how far you had walk during the last time of your nordic exercise. Maybe you should just walk for lesser kms. and then go back to what your use to after you feel better. don't force your feet if you really can't. Just rest first and yes warm up should always be done esp. when you don't practice walking everyday or if there are lots of interval between your walking days.

maybe you strain yourself to much, you have to rest a little bit and do a lot of slow walking and stretching first. Don't push yourself too hard. Because you might end-up being hurt.

A weeks rest would do. You don't need to overwork yourself. I know you like nordic walking but that doesn't mean that you should just go ahead and strain yourself over and over again. Consider resting and you will see that you will walk more vigorous than ever after that rest.

Hmmm.. How long have you been doing this? I agree with the posters above. Try to do some simple stretching before you do this activity. And also do not over strain yourself, you can gradually increase the difficulty of Nordic walking the next time you do it.

Stretching is really important just what like the others here have suggested. If you are already doing this and still you get this pain then it might be due to over stressing your body. Do you always do the walking regularly or only if you have time? If you do this regularly then there's no reason for your joints to hurt but if you just do it once in a while then maybe this has a connection.

warming up is very important. don't push your body to the limit abruptly. Nordic walking requires a lot of eefort and your body should be gradually introduce the activity. You should not rush into doing it if you haven't done a warming up sessions. Doing it without preparing your body will cause injuries and pains.
