Hi guys how are you doing? haven't posted for days, I've been busy with work . I was thinking of bringing my dog with me one of these days. do you think it's a good idea to bring him while nordic walking? Has any of you tried bringing their pets along?

of course you can brent, just as long as you know that you can control your pooch. You know sometimes it can really be a hassle if you'll keep on tugging him, you might even trip over him.

well i guess it's really up to you, you should know your pet. If you think that you can bring him without having to guide every now and then, then i think it's okay.

I think it would be difficult for you to concentrate on walking if you have a pet to tug along with, I mean you can't do two things at the same time right? So I suggest not to bring your pet with you.

i tried nordic walking with my pet one time, I'm tellin you it's quite stressful. so it's better not to bring him along, just reserve a different day to walk your dog.

Haven't tried it yet but I think it is fun. The down side of course is that you have to keep up with your pet and that would definitely take away concentration and can possibly cause accidents to you and your pet. I like the idea because I think nordic walking is relaxing esp when you do it with family , friends or someone. But then again there is a risk so maybe I will not try it just for safety reasons.

I think bringing a pet when you are doing Nordic Walking would be fun for pet lovers. Unfortunately I'm not, but when I'm with my friends sometimes they do bring their pets and they ended up playing with their pets.. haha

OMG! I don't nordic walk with my pet, you know she's too big and too strong for me! She's a big Labrador, I already took her once to walk with me, but every time she see new faces she barks them and drag me with her when she chase people...

If you're dog is really like BIG please don't bring them. You'll just end up being drag around and thus, the purpose of nordic walking will be defeated. If you really want to bring them along make sure that you leave them unleashed. Of course this applies to those dogs that are trained to follow their masters anywhere they go.

I don't think this is a good idea. You can't walk and chase a dog around at the same time. Except if your loyal pet is well trained and he just follows your track all the time. A lot of accidents can happen if you nordic walk and chase a dog at the same time.

It's a nice idea but I don't think it is possible. Walking is already hard and sometimes tiring. walking with something to worry about on the side is even harder to imagine. I suggest you leave your pet behind when you do the walking so that you can concentrate and lessen the stress.

nordic walking with a big dog is fine - they need exercise so this type of activity will keep them in shape. tagging your dog along will keep the walk interesting.
