hi icraig, yes kids can also do this sport and there are available poles for them. You can try browsing through the net, a lot of shops are offering nordic walking poles for kids!

I have a 10yr old nephew who joins me whenever I nordic walk in the morning. I can say that he enjoys it so much and she seems very fit. I don't know if it has something to do with the walking thing but he rarely get sick. In fact he was very sporty in school. I strongly believe that the exercise had some help in improving his body. So please do consider taking your kids!

It will really help for a child to develop a constant liking for sporty activities and healthy activity. I suggest you continue the training and if possible take it to another level. Train him in other sports so that he would be always healthy!

I think it's fun to bring your daughter, son, etc along while you are doing Nordic walking.. But then, since they are kids I think they will play with their poles and the parents will end up chasing their kids.. hehe

I do walk with my friends and their kids. It was really a fun experience especially on the part of the parents. Of course they are kids so normally they would be naughty at times but I still think this could help them develop love for their body and healthy activities.

Introducing kids in this kind of activity is indeed a great idea. Making them practice at an early age will help them understand the value of living a healthy life. The younger they get use to this activity the easier they will be acquainted to the routine.

2 thumbs up to chrisharper :D
i totally agree with him, it is indeed important that kids understand the valueof healthy living. Nordic walking is a good sport of kids as well. I go with the saying that "Train up a child in a way you would like him to be, and when he grows up, he will never depart from it"
:D have a nice day everyone
